Helping Youth Help Themselves!

We are a not-for-profit registered charity that provides youth with programs that promote and facilitate positive behaviour, creative expression, and cooperative working skills.

We exist to foster independence and responsibility in those we serve, empowering them with their own desires to become active, constructive, caring members of the community.

In our programs, the values of trust, respect, cooperation, and non violence form the core of all activities. When these values are reinforced with active listening, counseling, referrals when necessary, and a sound academic and arts based education, youth are able to become active and constructive citizens.

Upgrading programs at Inner City take place with a sincere respect for the natural intelligence of the youth in our programs. This sense of respect creates an atmosphere of hope and possibility.

We're Part of the Alberta Promise

We are a Promise Agency member of Alberta’s Promise a program that encourages partnerships to stimulate giving to children and youth programs and services. During the Alberta Government's 2008 Legislative Sitting, Alberta's Promise Legislation was renewed for another five year term, ensuring the initiative continues to help kids across the province until 2013. Your organization can become a Promise Builder and partner with us. Promise Builders are businesses, corporations, service clubs, media organizations, industry and/or professional associations, and foundations who commit to continue and/or increase the resources they contribute to children and youth programs or projects.
