We are an Edmonton Not-For-Profit, Registered Charity
For over 30 years the Inner City Youth Engagement Program and Inner City High School, under the umbrella of the Inner City Youth Development Association, have provided life-changing opportunities to Edmonton’s marginalized Indigenous and other urban youth, allowing them to leave the desperation of the street and build more productive lives. Many in our programs struggle to overcome the impact of intergenerational trauma, which often includes a negative school history, contact with the justice system, involvement with the childcare system, and poverty. Our Youth Engagement Program reaches youth at the street level, providing needed support that bridges them to an eventual high school diploma. Our unique approach allows us to work with youth in a more holistic way, assisting them in creating their path towards their goals and a brighter future.
Inner City High School’s Registration
This year, our fall registration for high school is in-person and starts on August 26. If you are interested in registering please read what you need to bring.

Community Roots
We've been helping Edmonton's youth at risk for well over 35 years. The wrap around nature of our programing and the power of arts and education make it possible for those in need to succeed.
